PRODUCT FAQ’S
MC Enterprises is not repair facility and does not offer any advice on how to do repairs.
Below are some commonly asked questions.
WHICH DOMETIC DUAL REFRIGERATOR THERMOSTAT
SHOULD I USE?
Dometic has used two dual thermostats within the last 30 years. Both have a part number starting with V61
and are identical with one difference—how they connect to the refrigerator. The Dometic 2007199009 attaches
with compression gas connections (rubber O-rings); the Dometic 2931336016 uses threaded connections.

DO YOU HAVE REFRIGERATOR THERMOCOUPLES
AVAILABLE FOR OLDER UNITS?
Yes. Nearly all 12V refrigerators were initially designed in Europe using metric measurements. To replace
those thermocouples no longer in production, we sell a kit that includes a 27” metric thermocouple and
two metric thermocouple nuts. The head of the thermocouple is threaded.
To install, place one metric nut on the thermocouple, insert the head into the burner box, and then screw
on the second nut on the thermocouple inside the burner box. The final step is to position the thermocouple
tip in the flame at the distance you want. Then tighten the nuts to hold it in place.
ARE PRE-2015 SUBURBAN FURNACE BOARDS AVAILABLE?
Yes. The older boards are readily available from MC Enterprises under the original part number 520820MC.
If you have an older furnace, this board exactly fits into that slot. This means you will just unplug your
old board and plug in the new one. The cost for the 520820MC is equal or less than what you would pay
for the newer board—and it will fit better.
Although the boards are designed to do the same thing, using the current 521099 board will
involve some adjustments to position it correctly.

ARE 1990S 12V FURNACE REPLACEMENT BOARDS AVAILABLE?
Yes. We still carry ignition modules for both the older Coleman (models 4028A, 4322, 4324, 4328, 4334)
and Atwood/Hydroflame furnaces manufactured in the 1990s.
For both Coleman and Atwood/Hydroflame furnaces, use Part#: 33521MC.
PLEASE NOTE: The 33521MC will not work on newer furnaces, nor will the newer boards
(e.g., Dometic 31501MC or Suburban 521099MC) work on these older furnaces.
SHOULD I ALWAYS REPLACE OLD FURNACE GASKETS WHEN INSTALLING NEW PARTS?
Yes, it is always safer to replace your gasket material when you have work done on your furnace.
If you can’t find the precut gaskets to fit your furnace, MC Enterprises sells a piece of
gasket material 12” x 18”. Use your old gasket as a template to create a new one. Our gasket material
easily handles the high furnace temperatures.
DO I ALWAYS HAVE TO BUY THE WHOLE DOMETIC MOTOR KIT
OR CAN I JUST BUY THE MOTOR?
Some of Dometic’s (Atwood/Hydroflame) furnace motors come in kit form only.
If you need to replace your bracket and/or fittings as well as the motor, these part numbers below are what you should be using. Both their and our kits include the motor, bracket, and mounting fittings for the bracket.
If you do not need the bracket or fittings, the motors are available from several of our distributors.
Below is a list of part numbers for the motor kits and for the individual motor sold separately:

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FURNACE BOARDS FROM
THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER (OEM) AND MC ENTERPRISES?
ANSWER: Both the OEM boards and ours are made by the same companies. To install, just unplug the old board and plug in the new one. Neither requires additional steps to replace unless you are upgrading from a 520820 to 521099.
The one difference is cost. Ours are priced lower and still carry the same warranty:

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DOMETIC OR SUBURBAN AND
MC ENTERPRISES WATER HEATER BOARDS?
The MCE boards are priced lower. They are made by the same manufacturers Suburban and Dometic use. An added feature of the MCE Suburban board is its quiet start. ‘Quiet start’ eliminates the loud noise you normally hear when the water heater turns on.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DOMETIC/ATWOOD
WATER HEATING ELEMENTS WITH AND W/O WIRES?
We stock the 92249MC (without wires attached) and the 92097MC (with attached wires). Both are made by the same manufacturer Dometic uses and are competitively priced. The correct one to use depends on whether you are replacing one with wires attached or w/o wires attached.
